    Music Teacher

Mrs. Melissa M. Lingle, M. Ed.

Melissa M. Lingle, M. Ed. is a passionate music educator, performer, and mentor. Originally from Roseburg, Oregon, she has called Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania home since 1997. Melissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Pensacola Christian College and a Master’s degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction from Summit University.

In her role as the elementary music teacher for the Riverside School District, she teaches over 800 students across 42 general music classes, in addition to offering private lessons and directing three choirs. She also directs musical theater for the Creative and Performing Arts Academy.

Melissa’s love for music is evident in her diverse talents—she sings, plays the flute, and has performed in productions such as Le Elixir de Amore, The Music Man, The Barber of Seville, Little Women, and Shrek. Outside the classroom, she is a member of her church’s worship team and enjoys playing the piano and singing.

When asked about her teaching, Melissa says, "I love watching kids discover their love for music and seeing their faces light up when they realize they can sing and perform. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness their success and growing confidence." Her deep commitment to her students and the joy she finds in their progress reflects a lifelong passion for sharing music—an ambition she's had since she was twelve.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and traveling. She also has a fondness for reading, hot tea, chocolate, and the occasional quiet moment.
